About Me
I hope you find something worth your attention here, whether it be something to read, watch, or listen to. Film, and the arts, will always be my core passion, and I wish to provide something to either satisfy your own, or mark the beginning of a new one.
I started writing about film when I was only 17, diving headfirst into analysis, theory, and critique with a mix of enthusiasm and uncertainty. Over the years, my understanding of cinema has deepened, sharpened by coursework, hands-on projects, collaborative experience, and an ever-expanding love for the art form. From my earliest essay to my most recent works, this site serves as a timeline—not just for me, but for you as a reader for reference—showcasing not only my writing but also my evolving grasp of the vast amounts of knowledge this art form has to offer. The hope is, ultimately, for you to see how, from piece to piece, I improve as a writer.
This collection is not about finished, polished pieces. I do not believe I am qualified to call myself even 1/4th of a scholar or an expert. Rather, each essay, podcast episode, short, or video marks a step forward in my ability to engage with film critically, creatively, and challenge myself in ways that are fruitful. The way I think, write, and talk about cinema has changed dramatically in just a few years, and it will continue to do so.
While you are here to encounter my work, however you do so, I hope you find something that resonates, or at least something that showcases my passion.
